HOMESTEAD REDUX
With a fresh look at its historic roots, this home was reimagined. Inspired by the original Homestead, a sculptural plaster spiral staircase was introduced, inviting transition to the upper floor. In the Primary Bedroom Suite, functionality was enhanced by a smooth connection between closet and bath and preserving privacy through carefully placed partitions.
Historic details were either retained or rebuilt, including the stair hall’s historic egg and dart molding, yet paired with discreet new elements such as built-in bookcases, curtain pockets, and refined millwork.
Whether new or old, the design celebrates the craftsmanship of the place and embraces contemporary living, a transformation that hopefully feels both timeless and yet distinctly current.
