PEONY CUCINA
Reinterpreting the vision of Sam Marx, the home’s original architect, the renovation opened the kitchen and made it into one space, merging kitchen, dining and library functions into one.
Departing from convention, the design eliminated the island in favor of a versatile table, serving as a buffet, dining surface, and everyday gathering place for cooking, bird watching, or conversation.
Peony wallpaper covers the walls that creates a playful foil for the matte black shelving system displaying cookware and objects.
The kitchen is now white and wraps the room, complemented by scenic lighting that suits day, night, and dining moods.
With reading chairs and their ottomans, the space balances practicality and intimacy, becoming the true heart of the home.
